A La Macramé was founded in Brownsville, Texas by Liliana Mora. 

Liliana was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas; little city 20 miles away from South Padre Island. She loves her outdoor and beach life with her husband Marco and 3 children, Zirah, Layla, and Isaiah. 

Liliana taught herself how to macramé in 2018 and fell in love with the art.

"Growing up I was intrigued with anything crafty. I love felt crafts, painting, and all sorts of DIYs. It is something I have had a passion for and love to do in my free time. In 2018, I was intrigued by macramé and taught myself the basic macramé knots and the first thing I made was a plant hanger! It was so fun that I decided to give a macramé wall hanging a try and the rest is history."

In 2020, she decided to share her love for Macramé with others by creating her own website and social media shops to bring the enjoyment of macramé to your home. Using 100% recycled cotton and many more earthly materials. Her family hand picks the driftwood during their beach clean-ups and treats all beach driftwood herself.
